It was only a matter of time before Hollywood seized the opportunity to make a blockbuster on this theme, and sure enough, the movie "2012- the end of the world" is about to burst upon our cinema screens in full technicolour & dolby surround sound! Cast firmly in the mould of global disaster extravaganzas like "Armageddon" & "Deep Impact", the trailer shows lurid scenes of entire cities being up-rooted and towering tsunami's obliterating everything in their path. While on one level it is just more harmless Hollywood entertainment, it is apparently fueling a growing fear in the general public about the end date of the Mayan Calendar on December 21st 2012 and what it might mean. Apparently NASA, the American space agency, is being innundated with calls from very worried people asking if the earth is about to be wiped out by an asteroid or comet or some other cosmic disaster. At a recent presentation of my workshop "Towards 2012-The Return of the Phoenix" this was the question preoccupying a number of the participants: "Where should I be on 21/12/2012 to be safe?"
Ever since I began to research the subject back in 1987, and to teach workshops on the theme, I have stressed two things. Firstly, although it is the end date of the Mayan long count calendar, to the Maya, December 21st 2012 marked a beginning, the birth of a new, spiritually evolved world order which has been gestating over the previous 5,125 years of the 13 baktun cycle. As such it is something to be excited about, to look forward to with joyful anticipation Secondly, whilst the precise date may signal a "tipping point" or focus, the process of change is already underway and, moreover, we are participants in the process, not its hapless victims. The entire Mayan reckoning of time, with its incredibly deep knowledge of cosmic cycles, is centred on us- Humanity- and our epic journey to evolve to our highest potential. This is the central drama of 2012, around which the completing cosmic cycles of earth, sun and galaxy are the impressive backdrop. As our solar system makes its destined grand cross with the centre of our galaxy and brings earth into alignment with the cosmic Tree of Life we will stand directly in the spotlight of high frequency energies from our Source- the "Dark road" or womb of the Great Mother at the heart of the Milky way. Like children bathed in the unconditional love and approval of our Mother , we are encouraged to step out of the nursery with boldness and courage, to carry that love and inspiration out into a world which is holding its breath in anticipation. We are being offered a once in a 100.000 years opportunity to make an heroic and decisive leap forward in our individual evolution and thereby co-create a new world sourced in love, harmony, beauty & justice.

So my answer to the question "where should I be on December 21st 2012?" is this:- be in your heart, in Love, in your highest vibration- your passion. And don't wait until then- go there now!
